But here's where it gets controversial... Dibling's lackluster performance wasn't the only disappointment. Merlin Rohl, making only his second start for Everton, also failed to impress. His contribution was summed up by a wayward half-volley, and he struggled both offensively and defensively, winning only six out of 12 duels. In contrast, Harrison Armstrong seized his opportunity, potentially moving ahead in the midfield pecking order.
